POTATO AND CORN CHOWDER 
3 tbsp. chopped bacon
4 tbsp. chopped onion
2 c. diced raw potatoes
2 c. water
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 c. milk
2 c. grated carrots
2 c. frozen corn
1/2 tsp. paprika

Brown bacon and onion in frying pan. Add potatoes and water and cook about 20 minutes. Melt butter in pan over low heat. Add flour and seasonings, mixing well. Add milk. Cook until slightly thickened. Add corn, carrot and potato mixture. Heat and serve. Serves 4 to 6.
