GERMAN CHOCOLATE CARAMEL BARS 
1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
2/3 c. evaporated milk and 1/3 c. evaporated milk (total 1 can)
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. melted butter
1 c. chopped nuts
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Combine caramels and 1/3 cup of the evaporated milk in double broiler and cook until melted. Set aside. Grease a 9 x 13 pan. Combine cake down in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes, sprinkle chocolate chips on then spread caramels over that. Crumble remaining dough over. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes. Cool. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
