SHOO - FLY CAKE 
1 c. Brer Rabbit molasses
2 1/4 c. boiling water
1 tbsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
3/4 c. Crisco
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. brown sugar

Stir molasses, water, and soda together; set aside. Combine flour, sugar, Crisco, and salt. Mix to crumbs. Reserve 2 cups. Combine remainder of crumbs with molasses. Put in greased pan and put remaining 2 cups of crumbs on top of cake. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
