CINNAMON ROLLS 
DOUGH:

1 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. water (warm)
1 c. scalded milk
1/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 well beaten egg
3 1/2 c. flour

ICING:

1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
Pinch salt
1/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. Pet milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix yeast in warm water; set aside. Combine milk, shortening, sugar and salt; cool to lukewarm. Add softened yeast and egg. Stir in flour to form dough. Beat vigorously. Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled, about 2 hours. Turn out on floured surface. Roll 1/2" thick, brush with melted butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Roll up and slice 1/4" thick. Put in greased pan and let double. Bake at 350 degrees until brown.

ICING: Mix ingredients. Cook until slightly thick. Add vanilla and pour over rolls.
