DATE NUT LOAF 
4 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. oil
1 c. sifted flour
8 oz. pkg. pitted dates, chopped
1 c. pecans halves

Beat eggs, sugar and oil. Add dry ingredients; mix well. Pour into greased and floured 9"x5" loaf pan and place in cold oven. Turn heat to 300 degrees and bake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until cake is firm in middle. Cool completely. Remove from pan and slice with sharp knife.
