DATE AND NUT LOAF 
2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 tbsp. butter
1 sm. pkg. dates
2 c. walnuts

Boil 2 cups sugar, 1 cup milk until soft ball forms. Add butter (1 tablespoon), stir in 1 sm. package chopped dates, 2 cups walnuts. Form in two rolls in wet cloth, leave overnight and slice.
