3 c. sugar
1 c. butter
6 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
5 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cream of tartar
Sugar for coating, sometimes cinnamon and sugar

Cream first 3 until fluffy; beat in eggs and flavoring. Stir in dry ingredients.

Drop by large spoonfuls into sugar. Roll to coat; dough will be very soft. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
