HONEY WHOLE WHEAT BREAD | |
2 pkgs. dry yeast 1 c. warm water 1/2 c. honey 2 c. warm water 4-5 c. white flour 1 tbsp. sugar 2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. vegetable oil 4 c. whole wheat flour In a large bowl, combine yeast, sugar and 1 cup warm water. Let stand 15 minutes. Add salt, honey, oil and water. Add flour gradually. Knead 8 to 10 minutes. Cover. Place in warm place and let rise about 2 hours until double in size. Punch down and knead a little. Divide into 3 loaves. Place in well greased loaf pans. Let rise. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees. |
