ALMOND STICKS 
FILLING:

1 lb. imitation almond (kernel) paste, shredded
2 c. sugar
3 eggs (save 1 white for glaze)
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
Vanilla (optional)

CRUST:

1 lb. shortening or 3/4 lb. butter & 1/4 lb. butter
4 c. flour, sifted
1 c. water

FILLING: Mix sugar, eggs and almond flavoring, then add paste.

CRUST: Mix shortening and flour and 1 cup of water. Let set overnight. Roll out crust to cookie sheet width and out in 4 inch strips. Shape filling to fit in strips. Roll up and place in greased tins with seam down. Brush with remaining egg white. Prick and bake about 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes about 10 strips.
