CORN AND TOMATO CHOWDER | |
1/4 lb. bacon 1 sm. onion, chopped 1 can corn 1 can tomatoes 2 c. diced raw potatoes 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. paprika 3 c. boiling water 1 c. milk Cut bacon into small pieces and fry slowly; add onion and cook without browning, 5 minutes. Add corn including liquid, tomatoes, and potatoes. Sprinkle in the seasoning. Add water and cook until the potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in milk. |
