SARA BRATCER'S YEAST BREAD | |
1/2 c. lukewarm water 2 pkgs. yeast 1 tsp. salt 1/2 c. sugar 1/3 c. vegetable oil 4 2/3 c. flour 2 eggs 1 c. cool water Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Set aside. Combine salt, sugar, oil, 2 cups of flour and eggs. Add in the rest of the flour alternating with the cool water and the dissolved yeast. Dough will be moist. Do not knead. Place in a greased bowl and cover. Let rise in a warm place. Punch down and let it rise again. If you want to make dough the night before, you can let it rise in the refrigerator overnight, then rise the second time in the pans in a warm place. Makes 3 small loaves. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes. |
