NECTARINE DAIQUIRI 
1/4 c. sugar
4 lime slices
2 lg. ripe nectarines
2 c. crushed ice
3/4 c. light rum
1/2 c. citrus syrup (see below)
1/2 c. soda water

Place sugar on small plate and rub rims of 4 (8 ounce) glasses with lime slices (reserve limes) and dip glasses into sugar. Combine remaining ingredients, including citrus syrup and blend in blender until smooth. Divide mixture among glasses and garnish with lime slices.

CITRUS SYRUP:

1 c. water
1 c. sugar
4 pieces lemon peel
2 tbsp. lime juice

Bring water, sugar and lemon peel to boil. Stir constantly until mixture becomes syrup like, approximately 10 minutes. Cool. Stir in lime juice and refrigerate.
