ANA'S FAMOUS IN THREE STATES

1/2 lb. chopped meat
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 green pepper (bell), chopped
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/4 oz. can chopped whole tomatoes
2 cans kidney beans (Progresso best)

In large skillet saute onions and green pepper until tender in 1 teaspoon of oil. Add chopped meat, brown and drain off excess fat. Transfer to large pot. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer until thick, approximately 90 minutes. Add chili powder to taste. Serve with shredded Cheddar cheese over it or over white rice
