GREEN BEANS WITH TOMATO | |
2 lbs. fresh green beans, cut to preference 1 lg. can tomatoes (about 3 c.) 1 clove garlic, mashed 1/4 c. melted butter 1 onion, finely chopped Salt and pepper to taste Combine all ingredients. Cook slowly in a 325 degree oven or simmer on top of stove, covered, for 45 minutes or longer, until beans are tender but not mushy. May be made the day before and reheated. Can be frozen. Serves 8. |
