PASTRY 
Two Crust Pie:

2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. water
2/3 c. Crisco

Take 1/3 cup flour and salt mixture and mix water with it to form a paste. Cut Crisco (12 tablespoons) in remaining flour. Add flour-paste and blend thoroughly. Divide and roll out.

Single Shell:

1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. Crisco (8 tbsp.)
3 tbsp. water

One-fourth flour and salt mixture and 3 tablespoons water for paste. Follow directions as for two crust pastry.
