BANANA SOUR CREAM BREAD | |
1/2 lb. butter, softened 2 c. sugar 4 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 2 c. mashed ripe bananas 1 c. sour cream 3 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, sour cream, bananas and vanilla. Mix well. Add baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add flour. Bake in greased and floured loaf pan 45 to 50 minutes at 350°F or in a tube pan for 50 minutes at 350°F. Best if bananas are very, very ripe. Almost to the point of mushy. Do not use too many bananas or bread will not get done in center. |
