FROZEN BREAD AND BUTTER PICKLES 
2 qts. unpeeled cucumber, sliced thin
1 tbsp. salt
1 onion, chopped

Mix above ingredients and cover with water. Let stand 2 hours. Drain and rinse cucumbers and onion. Pack in small freezer containers. Sprinkle with a little celery seed. Pour cooled syrup over cucumbers and freeze. Thaw before serving.

SYRUP:

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. white vinegar

Boil until sugar is dissolved. Let cool until thick.
