CRISPY VEGETABLE PICKLES 
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. salt
4 med. onions, chopped
1 lg. bell pepper
1 sm. jar pimentos
1 lg. head of cabbage
1 pt. vinegar

Combine everything and bring to a boil. Boil 3 to 5 minutes, stirring ingredients once or twice. Cool. Refrigerate 12 hours before using. This keeps at least 3 weeks in the refrigerator or boiled ingredients may be placed in sterilized jars and sealed.
