5 eggs 1/2 c. shortening 2 sticks butter 3 c. sugar 3 c. flour 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. milk 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla chopped walnuts Preheat oven to 325. Beat eggs in small bowl. Cream together shortening, butter and sugar. Add eggs to creamed mixture and cream again. Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Add vanilla. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake for 1 1/2 hours. |
