ENGLISH MEAT PIE 
2 lbs. ground beef
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. chopped onions
6 oz. can chopped mushrooms
1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
11 oz. can beef gravy
2 eggs, beaten
Salt and pepper
Pastry for 2-crust pie

Soften onions in butter. Brown beef lightly and quickly. Add mushrooms. Remove from heat and add all other ingredients. Spoon into deep pastry-lined 10-inch pie plate. Do not use all the juice. Cover with top crust, with a few slits cut in the top. Bake at 425 degrees for 30 minutes.
