KRINGLER 
PART I:

1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1 tbsp. water

Mix like pie crust. Put on cookie sheet in 2 long strips 3" wide.

PART II: Put 1 cup water in saucepan with 1/2 cup butter. Heat to boiling point. Stir in 1 cup flour into this mixture quickly until smooth. Stir in 3 eggs, one at a time, mixing well.

After each addition, add 1 teaspoon almond extract. Spread on the first mixture. Bake 45 minutes in hot oven, 400 degrees. When cool, frost.

FROSTING:

1 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. cream
1/2 tsp. almond extract

Mix all ingredients and drizzle over Kringler, sprinkle with sliced almonds.
