SQUASH CASSEROLE 
3 c. cooked, mashed seasoned squash, drained
1 c. mushroom soup
2 eggs, well beaten
1 slice bread, broken up
1/2 bell pepper, chopped
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 stick butter
Waverly crackers
1/2 stick butter

Saute onion and pepper in 1/2 butter. Add to the other ingredients, mixing well. Place in a casserole dish and top with a layer of crushed waverly crackers. Top with other 1/2 stick of butter sliced, spreading over crackers. Bake in 350 degree oven until golden brown. Makes 4-6 servings.
