FRESH CHERRY PIE | |
4 c. red cherries, pitted 1 c. sugar 1/4 c. flour 1 tbsp. butter 1/8 tsp. almond extract Mix flour and sugar thoroughly and sprinkle about 1/3 on bottom of unbaked pastry shell. Put cherries in and sprinkle remaining flour and sugar. Put a few drops around on top of the almond extract. Then put on top about 4 slices of butter and put on top of pie. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce to 325 degrees and bake until golden brown for about 30 to 35 minutes. |
