RICE 
4 c. water
2 c. rice
Salt to taste

Bring salted water to boil. Add rice and turn heat to low. Cover with tight-fitting lid. Cook for 20 minutes over low heat. Prepare a pan of cold water. Remove rice boiler from heat and place it into pan of cold water. (Water should cover about half the depth of the boiler.) Remove boiler to warm stove. Let sit 2 or 3 minutes. Now remove lid and serve at once.

The secret to cooking rice is to never take a peek until the end of the procedure.
