ROAST SPARERIBS WITH OYSTER
DRESSING
 
Select 4 pounds spareribs in 2 pieces of equal length. Make an oyster dressing consisting of 2 loaves of stale bread, 1 pint oysters, a pinch of sage, salt, pepper, 1 egg and enough milk or water to hold together. Season spareribs; put the dressing between. Tie firmly and roast for 2 hours or until well done, basting occasionally. When done, make a brown gravy as for other meats.
