CORNMEAL BANANA BREAD 
1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 1/2 c. mashed ripe bananas, (about 5)
1/4 c. salad oil
1/3 c. water

In a large bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Turn into a greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes; test as for cake. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan and serve warm or toasted.
