CORNMEAL BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. yellow cornmeal
1/2 tsp. salt

Melt butter in a large saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in sugar. Add eggs and beat. Combine the buttermilk and soda and stir into the mixture in the saucepan. Add the cornmeal, salt, and unsifted flour. Stir until just mixed. Pour into buttered 8-inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
