FRENCH TOAST 
8 slices French bread, 3/4" thick
4 eggs
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. orange juice, maple syrup or Grand Marnier
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter for pan

Beat eggs, milk, orange juice, sugar, vanilla and salt. Soak bread covered 1 hour or overnight. Heat large skillet. Saute until golden about 4 minutes each side. If desired, sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
