1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts

Blend ingredients well. Butter bottom of glass and dip into sugar. Make dough into small balls and press down with glass. Bake at 350 degrees.
