MARDI GRAS CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 lg. (30 oz.) can fruit cocktail
1 box lemon cake mix
1 c. water

Drain fruit cocktail, reserving 1/2 cup of syrup. Melt butter in 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over butter. Then distribute fruit over sugar. Add 1 cup water and 1/2 cup syrup to cake mix. Blend well. Pour over fruit in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Cool. Invert carefully to serve.
