CORN BREAD | |
1 c. all-purpose flour, sifted 2 tsp. sugar 3 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. yellow corn meal 1 egg, beaten 1/4 c. salad oil 1 c. milk Preheat oven to 425°F. Grease an 8x8x2 inch baking pan. Sift flour with sugar, baking powder and salt. Add corn meal, mixing well. Set aside. In medium bowl, combine egg, salad oil and milk, mixing well. Add flour mixture, stirring only until flour mixture is moistened. Spoon batter into prepared pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. |
