FRENCH TOAST | |
1 loaf Italian bread 13 x 9 Pyrex pan - buttered 8 eggs 3 c. milk 4 tsp. sugar 3/4 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. vanilla Cut bread into 1 inch thick slices. Place in buttered pan, push together and fill in spaces with smaller pieces of bread. Beat eggs, milk, sugar, salt and vanilla together. Pour over bread and refrigerate OVERNIGHT! Dot with 2 tablespoons butter and sprinkle with cinnamon next morning. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. |
