FRESH PEAR CAKE 
1 1/4 c. cooking oil
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
3 c. all self rising flour
3 c. pears, chopped
1 1/4 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix above and put in 11 x 9 inch pan. Bake 35 minutes at 325 degrees. For topping combine 1 cup light brown sugar, 1 stick butter, 1/2 cup cream (Carnation), and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix in small pan and cook for 2 1/2 minutes. Stir. Spoon over cake while cake is hot.
