LOUISIANA PECAN PIE 
3 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. Cane syrup (white)
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans
1 unbaked pastry shell

Beat eggs slightly, add next five ingredients and mix well. Fold in pecans, and pour into unbaked pastry shell. Bake in preheated oven at 400 for 15 minutes, reduce temperature to 350 degrees and bake about 30 minutes longer or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Do not over bake.

If crust browns too much, cover top lightly with a piece of foil.
