MACARONI AND CHEESE 
1 c. uncooked macaroni
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. butter
1 c. Velveeta cheese, cut up

In a 2 quart saucepan, fill 1/2 full with water. Add salt and bring to rapid boil on high heat. Stir in macaroni and bring back to boiling. Reduce heat and boil uncovered for 9 minutes, stirring occasionally. Don't overcook. Drain macaroni.

In the same pan, add to the macaroni, milk, butter, cheese and black pepper. Cook over medium heat stirring until cheese is melted. Pour into a 1 quart bowl. Cover with thin slices of cheese on top. Put a lid on and set on top of stove to stay warm until ready to serve.
