LASAGNE 
8 oz. lasagne pasta, boiled & drained
1 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. olive oil
2 tbsp. butter
2 cloves garlic, firmly chopped
3 c. tomato sauce
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 (8 oz.) container ricotta cheese or cottage cheese
1 c. diced mozzarella cheese
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
2 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. black pepper

Saute onion in combined butter and olive oil for 10 minutes. Add garlic and saute 5 minutes. Add beef and saute 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Add seasonings, cover and simmer 15 minutes. Add tomato sauce and cheeses; mix well.

Grease a 10 inch baking dish and cover the bottom with a thin layer of the meat-cheese mixture. Cover with a layer of lasagne. Repeat, ending with a layer of meat-cheese mixture. Sprinkle lightly with Parmesan cheese. Bake in preheated oven 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 6.
