BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
3 c. cake flour
2 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 c. Crisco
1 c. Buttermilk
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond

Cream Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one. Add 1/4 tsp. baking soda to buttermilk. Add buttermilk and flour alternately to the mixture. Add vanilla and almond. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
