CHOCOLATE TOWN SYRUP CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 1/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. chocolate syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time; mix well. Sift flour and baking soda together. Add flour mixture alternately with syrup and vanilla to creamed mixture; beat well. Pour into greased and floured 13"x9"x2" pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake 40 minutes. Sprinkle top with chopped nuts or ice.
