TURKEY FRUIT SALAD | |
1 (3 1/2 lb.) turkey roast 3 tbsp. onion, minced 3 tsp. salt 3 c. celery, chopped 1 c. slivered almonds 2 boxes shell macaroni 3 c. Miracle Whip 2 c. whipping cream 2 (#211) cans pineapple tidbits, drained 1 lg. & 1 sm. can mandarin oranges, drained & cut in half 1 can white grapes, drained Roast the turkey and cool and cut in small cubes, cook macaroni shells according to directions on box and run cold water over until cool. Drain well. Combine the cooled turkey cubes, onion, salt, and celery. Cover and refrigerate overnight, combine the macaroni and the drained fruit. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Next morning, whip the cream, add the Miracle Whip. Put the mixture all together. Add the slivered almonds. Serves 25. Chicken may be used instead of turkey. |
