CHEESY SAUSAGE AND KRAUT CASSEROLE | |
CHEESE POTATOES: 1/4 c. onion 1/4 c. butter 1/4 c. flour 2 1/2 c. milk 5 potatoes, peeled and diced 3/4 c. shredded American cheese 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 (14 oz.) can sauerkraut 1 1/2 lbs. Polish sausage, cooked Prepare cheese potatoes by cooking onion in butter. Stir in flour, salt, pepper. Add milk and stir until slow boil and thickens. Pour into 2 quart casserole then add potatoes. Bake, covered, 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Uncover, stir and bake 30 more minutes. (May use box mix if in a hurry - AuGratin potatoes). Add drained sauerkraut and sliced sausage. Simmer until hot. |
