HAMBURGER AND POTATO PIE 
1 med. size onion, chopped
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. cooked peas, canned or frozen
1 c. canned tomatoes OR 1 sm. cup tomato sauce
1/2 c. catsup
3 c. (about) hot seasoned mashed potatoes
1 egg, beaten

Cook onion and ground beef until lightly browned. Drain off fat. Add peas, tomatoes and catsup. Mix well. Pour into 2 quart casserole. Combine mashed potatoes and egg. Spoon to form mounds on mixture. Bake at 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes. It is optional but I sometimes sprinkle top with seasoned bread crumbs.
