SWEETHEART CHERRY NUT FUDGE | |
1 1/2 lbs. white confectioner's coating or 2 (6 oz.) pkgs. semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 milk chocolate 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk 3/4 c. chopped nuts 1/2 c. coarsely chopped maraschino cherries, well drained on paper towels or 1/2 c. coarsely chopped red candied cherries 1 tsp. almond extract Lightly grease 9 inch heart shaped cake pan or 8 or 9 inch square pan; line with wax paper. Set aside. In heavy saucepan, cover low heat, melt coating with sweetened condensed milk. Remove from heat; stir in nuts, cherries, and extract. Spread evenly into prepared pan. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Remove from pan; peel off wax paper. Garnish as desired. Store loosely covered in refrigerator. |
