APPLE TURNOVERS 
10 apples chopped
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix all ingredients, set aside.

Dough:

2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. milk

Prepare dough by mixing ingredients and roll out on floured surface. Cut into circles. Place a spoonful of apples onto dough and turn half of dough over and seal edges. Fry in skillet in 1/2 cup oil.

Glaze:

1 c. confectionary sugar
1 tbsp. water (more if needed)
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix glaze ingredients. Spoon over pies.
