ITALIAN WINE COOKIES 
4 oz. cooking oil
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. wine, Vermouth or red wine
1 egg
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder

Mix all ingredients. Add flour until right consistency of kneading. Flatten out. Cut in 1 inch pieces. Deep fry in oil. Drain and dip in warmed honey.
