COUNTRY - BAKED PORK CHOPS 
4 to 6 lean pork chops
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1 tbsp. shortening
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 can cream of chicken soup or cream of mushroom soup
1/3 c. water
3 tbsp. Lipton's onion soup mix

Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper; brown in hot shortening. Drain. Thoroughly blend remaining ingredients and pour over chops. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until chops are tender. Remove cover during last 15 minutes of baking time for browner chops and thicker gravy.
