RICE PILAF 
1 c. rice, uncooked
1 c. water
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 to 1/2 c. raisins
1 c. egg noodles, wide
1 can chicken broth
1 cube butter
1/8 c. sliced almonds

Melt butter in heavy skillet, brown noodles until slightly brown. Add rice and brown slightly. Add water, broth and salt. Stir; cover and simmer about 20 minutes. The last 3-5 minutes, add raisins and almonds. Stir and serve.
