2 c. white sugar
1 c. lard
1 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together above ingredients. Sift dry ingredients:

Flour, enough to make a soft dough
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Add to creamed mixture. Roll out and cut with cookie cutters. Bake 13 to 15 minutes in 350 degree oven.
