FESTIVE ICE BOX COOKIES | |
1 lb. good quality butter 3/4 c. granulated sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 4 1/2 c. flour Variety of colored sugars In large bowl, cream together butter, 3/4 cup granulated sugar and vanilla. Mix in flour. Chill dough until it can be easily handled. Divide dough into 6 separate balls. Roll each ball into a log and roll each log into a different color sugar. Refrigerate overnight. Slice into thin slices. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in preheated 375 degree oven for 6-7 minutes. Store in cookie tins. Yield: 20 dozen. NOTE: These cookies are very good, very easy to make and very easy to eat! |
