CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE 
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
3 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1/4 c. butter, melted
2 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. lg. pecan pieces

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Beat eggs in a large bowl; stir in sugar, corn syrup, combined melted butter, chocolate and vanilla; mix thoroughly but do not over beat. Sprinkle pecans in prepared shell; slowly pour filling mixture over pecans. Bake for 15 minutes. Lower heat to 325 degrees and continue to bake until filling is puffed and set, about 45 to 50 minutes. Makes 1 pie.
