GRISWOLD INN CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE | |
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 baked 9" pie shell 1 1/2 c. pecans 1/4 c. butter 1/2 c. light corn syrup 1/2 c. sugar 2 lg. eggs, lightly beaten 1. Heat oven to 325 degrees. Place chocolate chips in bottom of pie shell; top with an even layer of pecans. 2. In 1 quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and cool slightly about 2 minutes. 3. Stir corn syrup, sugar and eggs into melted butter. Pour over pecans and chocolate chips; making sure to cover pecans with sugar mixture so they do not burn. 4. Bake pie 45 minutes or until firm. Cool slightly on wire rack; serve warm so chocolate chips are soft. |
